Updates (Again)!

Sorry for not updating in a while. Too busy. But anyways:

19th July: Check It Out - Making a Difference ~ Are we different or indifferent?

After being shocked by some UN statistics, we took a look at where history was changed when people was willing to act and where history could have been much better if only someone did something discovered the importance of not sitting still to be indifferent at something we are not happy about, especially in regards to God's Kingdom. Discussions aplenty. Many questions raised. I hope all were blessed.

26th July: Mangkukking - God is Good, lah!

In a truly Malaysian comeback, DFA/Mangkuk Rekha appeared, tripled our volume levels and generally caused a ruckus/many hurt stomachs from the laughter and banter caused among many. We had a lively sharing of testimonies about how God has been good to us. As shown, God is really good and we should thank God for all the good He has provided over the years. And that we need to brush up our sharing skills. And that Rekha is really noisy.

Today: A cool Christian: How to be cool??? (Part 1: Dressing)

After drawing artistic disasters, we discovered d importance of dressing in a cool manner, but not indecently. A reminder that we are God's beacon and temple and so we must reflect the image of God without looking like nuns. Other reminders that assimilation to culture and society is important, and that indecency might mean being overly decent/overcovering, also is dressing up like the wrong sex, and about not causing others to stumble and fall. However, that doesn't mean being unattractive, though. The call to be Christlike and cool is up to us.

On the same note, Omar, our sponsored child (World Vision) from Lebanon has sent us a card, giving his latest info. All is well with Him. He is having a happy life there. Praise be to God. We shall send a card soon (as soon as i can locate where i misplaced his card)

Also, ideas, task management for prayer retreat will be done by next Sunday. We are visiting Sungai Buloh MC MYF for their MYF Sunday next Sunday. Please confirm those who are able to come. Compulsory. Thank you all.
