Updates!!!!

Last sunday:
Was Sunny the Great leading on the topic, A Cool Christian: Worship. In it, we learnt about how the basics of the bible still holds the most water, not the most complex teological comment. Also, the toughness of sharing in front of the crowd. But most importantly, we learnt that really, the most important thing about worship is that it is about giving glory to God in every circumstance, and maintaining a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father and Best Friend. Being our counsellor and Guide, we should maintain a good status quo with Him - with making worship a lifestyle that we apply in our daily life.

When that comes under scrutinity, you'll notice that most people put the emotional experience and more critically, the music or liturgy or our sunday services as the crux of worship. Unfortunately, it's just a form of means, tools, and assisting especially in form of coporate worship. This is a fatal mistake in many a Christian's life and leadership, sometimes even us, and that is something we must look out against - making 'praise and worship' or the emotional high (again, it's just a form of expression in worship and not the crux) god in our life instead of God the Almighty. This is something we must look out for, as this is a world (and western) value being enforced where it shouldn't be held. It's not that it's wrong, it's just that sometimes that is number one in our lifes instead of Him. And that, is not the point in becoming Christian, especially if you noticed the videos by Dr. Myles Mounroe on The Kingdom of God shown recently. We are of a faith, not a religion. It is time that we change that perception. Worship is not the reason we exist, but it is life itself. True worship cannot be number one in our lifes - God will be there in first place if we truely worship in spirit and in truth.

Going further from the discussion done on that sun, worship is a requirement, because it is simple common sense. Why? Because we are made by someone, and that someone is over us, in authority and in position. Now, it is our choice to choose whether we worship. Why? Because God is an ever-gracious and loving God. He gave us a free choice to regconise and honour him as the creative creator and Lord over all, and that is where we need to make a stand. If you truely want to worship, we need to live like one, 24/7/365. And that is truely the end of the arguement.

Wednesday:
Since we were too few, we joined with the adults. In that, we learnt from Rev. Yew about the importance of standing on the truth and living in the truth. We were really blessed by that. Later, we prayed for each other (us and uncle Singam was in a group) and interceded for the prayer needs that were said out by pastor. A overwhelming presence of God filled our group to really pray fervently and deeply over the prayer items, and to look at the big picture and to give God the credit for everything good or bad, from past to present, and even trusting in him for the future. On a personal side, i felt liberated, as if a huge burden was laid off my back. This is the advantage of trusting in the Lord. Cool part is, uncle Singam said he was blessed. Chun weh!!! More should come this Wednesday - prayer is ON again. Confirmed. We are having it every twice a month - exact dates unconfirmed as schedule is not set permanant yet.

This Sunday:
We visited Life, Puchong on their MYF Sunday. Ever the vibrant group, they led worship, had a special performance and made all visitors feel at home. During the sermon, we had the topic on "Holy? Who? Me?" and scriptural references from 1 Peter 1:1-16 and Romans 12.1-2 by a guest speaker (Pastorpher is on Sabatical leave). It talks on the the spiritual mind set and of not staying silent and also to be in the world but not conforming to the patterns of this world. We were truely blessed. For those that went, that is.
