PRAYERS

I can tell you prayers are very powerful. This is true. On 11 march 2006 I went to this prayer conference. This is a camp where we gathered together and pray.

During the third session of today, Uncle Mark was preaching about the baptism of the holy spirit and about spiritual gifts such as seeing vision and speaking in tongues. I wanted this gift from the Lord very badly and Uncle Mark was saying pray and don't stop praying until you get the gift. What Uncle Mark said is true.

This day was really interesting. We were split into groups and we were asked to pray and wait for the holy spirit to reveal to us. While we were praying, suddenly an image came into my mind. It was a straight path and a man starting to walk along that path. On that path, there were blockages. I didn't know it was from God until I shared this with my group members. Then I prayed over it. This time I thought about Alpha (a youth program currently being held in our church). The meaning of the man starting to walk the path in the image is like our youth starting this Youth Alpha, and the blockages is the problems that we face during this program. I was really suprised, I am so young and I can see images like this. I am really happy that God gave me this gift. I felt that my love for God is growing deeper. Even now when I hold a bible in my hands, my tears will start to pour out because of the vision Jesus suffering for us to die on the cross.


I am really thankful that I went for this prayer conference and I found out that prayers are really powerful.
