My Best Friend Indeed

This year's youth camp was a really good one (Though it is always freaking cold and the weather is very unpredictable). Not because of the fantastic place we held our camp but because God was there, God was with us and was among us.

It started off quite well, though everybody was kinda shy. But, I think the ice breakers managed to break the ice. Well duh, the ice breakers were meant to do that. Anyway, there were quite a lot of people who came and honestly, I was blown away by the amount of 15-year-olds who attended the camp.

Everything was good and well. What else can I say. By the first sight of Dominic Villa, I was really lost for words. I kept telling myself that "this isn't PD Methodist Centre" over and over again. The place was beautiful and I had fun exploring the place. So many doors and so many rooms.

The speaker, Mr Timothy Lam is very animated and funny. I had a lot of fun during his sessions. Lots of fun. The game was good. A good job done, Andrew!!! I like the carry-the-chair-and-two-people-and-not-fall-down game. It takes a lot to trust your team mates not to drop you flat on the ground.

And I also like the human fooseball game. It was GOOD and with the mud, IT WAS BRILLIANT!!!! I recall seeing the last game: Faithful and Righteous. They were violent players. The chairs keep falling down and the mud was flying everywhere. And the ball was, well the ball had a life of its own.

I got to know a lot of people better: Rekha, Yuen Mei, Christine, Jocelyn, Kim Hwe (too bad, she's in Malacca), Joash (my brother), Brian, Sheng Yong, Christopher and the rest of GMC MYFers. They were a fun lot to hang out with. Crazy also. But, they are true friends given by God to experience life together. I thank God for that!!!!

To those who reads my blog, this camp is part of the answer I asked God in YLDP. This is the part of my lesson in my area of weakness. I was able to be free. And I pray that He will reveal His answers to those who called out for HIM.

On the last night, I had a good worship (and all of the worships were good). The song "Rain Down on Me" reminded me of my past struggles. I remember that I called out for God while singing this song last year at YLDP. This song is an extremely special song to me.

At the end of the camp, I saw everyone hugging each other and bidding goodbye, taking pictures with each other, asking for each other's contact. I said to myself, "I am seeing the secondary success of the camp itself." The primary one is seeing everyone crying out desperately for God, asking Him to renew themselves.

I'll never forget the last night where the girls tried to stay awake through out the night. We eventually dozed off to sleep at 6, in the morning and one hour and thirty minutes later, everyone rushed to wash up and be there to lead in devotion. haha. I'll never forget the funny dedications dedicated by wannabe angels. I'll never forget how Jeremiah (or Jerry) walks his cute walk. I'll never forget each and ever single of the skits, especially Faithful's. hahahahahaha

And I especially won't forget the bus ride to Sentul. hahahahahahahahahahahaha

This camp is like a continuation of YLDP, though the YLDP fellas are not there. I hope everybody else had a good time. Do you? Hope to meet you all next year.
