Wow. I am basically speechless. I am so impressed and encouraged by the enthusiasm of the youth of our church that I don’t know where to start. Yesterday was a great day from the very beginning all the way to the end!
Firstly, a big pat on the back for Rekha who did really fantastically well for her first time worship leading in the MAIN service! Man…I would have been so nervous and Rekha is only Form 5?! *mouth drops open*
Then I think the MYF was just great, lots of fun, and it was an excellent skit Wy Leong! (Did you all know that the poor boy stayed up till 2am??) Well the hard work definitely paid off, the Chinese and Indian translation was a great touch! We will definitely be borrowing that idea in the future *wink* and I think you got yourself a bunch of very talented actors and actresses there, we’ll be borrowing them too sometime soon, Easter maybe? Hehe…
And you can see that MYF is really growing…there were three guests with us! Good job Ai Mie for bringing your cousin along and also DJ for your 2 friends. Keep encouraging them to join us okay? Am sure they will enjoy themselves, I mean I think even the adults want to join us! Don’t forget to make everyone feel welcome!
The Girls’ Brigade looking very smart in their new uniforms, boys apa-lah, mana uniform semua?? But all of you show excellent attendance, and that is super encouraging for everyone I am sure. Boys’ Brigade was doing a “pretty” job (literally!) with their noticeboard outside church. Make sure to check it out on Sunday, and if you feel hungry, go look for the GB cause they’ve been cooking a storm in the kitchen!!
Oh, before I forget, I think the MYF committee is really OTB about the Camp, can’t wait for December, it sounds like it’s gonna be a great camp, very well thought through and I like the theme of My Best Friend because it emphasizes that our God is one that is in a relationship with us, and not the kind that breaks your heart!
So keep the fire burning, it’s February and I can still see the excitement and enthusiasm that has been brewing the whole of last year and it is thrilling to see your passion for God burning so brightly!
Jo NOT Aunty Jo, just Jo. =P
P.S. OTB stands for On The Ball =)
